Two-step verification is used to increase the security and make it harder for unauthorized access to a system. If you don't have this activated, please contact your customer contact.
Set up
Two-factor verification can be activated for a tenant with Talentech ID in Talentech Admin. This can be set up with either verification code via e-mail or via Authenticator. We recommend using Authenticator.
If email authentication is selected, this will prompt users in the tenant to enter a verification code as part of the login process. This code will be sent to the user’s email address.
Once this code has been entered you will be logged in.
Authenticator
When Authenticator is chosen as two-factor verification users will first be prompted to connect an Authenticator App to their login. (you can use any Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) authenticator app such as one from google or microsoft but any TOTP autenticator will work).
The user will then also receive a list of recovery codes that can be used if for some reason they don’t have their authenticator app available. They are prompted to save these in a secure location.
The next time they login they will be prompted do enter a code from the authenticator app.
Once this code has been entered you will be logged in
The verification code will be valid in your browser for 90 days. Then it needs to be renewed.
