Questionnaire

Please begin by watching the following video tutorial.
Further down the page you will find a complete step-by-step breakdown of the tutorial.

Questionnaires can be used to ask candidates specific questions when they fill out the application form.

In ‘Questionnaire’ you will find two tabs:

- ‘Questionnaire’ – here you can create or edit complete questionnaires:

- ‘Question archives’ – here you have the option to gather specific questions in folders:

Click ‘Add new questionnaire’ to create a complete questionnaire:

Enter a name for the questionnaire – This is an internal name that will not be shown to the candidate. The description field will however, if filled out, be visible on the application form and can be used to introduce job-specific questions. Click ‘Is inheritable’ if you want the questionnaire to be available for the whole system:

Click ‘Save’

You are now ready to add questions to your questionnaire.

Types of questions
There are several different types of questions that you can choose from when you create a questionnaire:

  • Yes/no. By default gives you two possible answers (yes/no. true/false). The candidate can only choose one answer.
  • Rate Question – Enables an interval for rating. A candidate can, for example, assess a specific competency on a scale from 1 to 5.
  • Free Text Question – The candidate can fill in his or her own text.
  • Single Selection Question – Only one answer option can be selected.
  • Multiple Selection Question – Several answer options can be selected.
  • Priority Selection Question – Allows the candidate to prioritize the answer options.
  • Combination Question – The candidate can add more answers within various categories.
  • Video Question – The candidate must answer the question by recording a video response.

Creating a Question
Once you have saved your questionnaire, you can start creating questions. Highlight the question type you would like to create. In this video, we will create a yes/no-question as an example.

Write the question you wish to ask the candidate:

Yes/no is already predefined, but you are able edit the text as well as add multiple options:

‘Weight’ gives you option to define which answers has the highest weight. When you apply a weight on every question in a questionnaire, you can get a collective questionnaire score from every candidate, but it will often be just as easy to filter candidates based on their answers. This will be explained in the video ‘Assess the Candidates’:

You have the option to create sub-questions for every answer by clicking ‘Create and select’ here:

Always remember to click ‘Save’, if you have created a sub-question:

‘Allow custom answer’ gives the candidates the option to add their own answers:

‘Is Required’ makes the question mandatory to answer and the candidate will not able to send the application without having answered the question:

Click ‘Save’ to save the question. You will now see that the question is saved at the bottom of the page:

Click on the arrow on the bottom left to return to the previous menu and you will now be able to see that the questionnaire has been created:

You will always be able to edit your questionnaire by clicking ‘Edit’ here:

Question Archives
In ‘Question Archives´, you can create frequently asked questions. You can sort these upon category and add them to the same archive. This will make it easier and faster to create new questionnaires, since questions from question archives are easily added to a complete questionnaire. Furthermore, you optimize any searches in the candidate database, because every question from the question archive is registered under a unique ID.

Click on the tab ‘Question Archives’:

Click ‘Add new Question Archive’ to create a new question archive:

Give your Question archive a name – It could be General questions or more specific, if it is a question type that is used for at specific job type:

You are now able to add a question to the ´Question Archive´ just as you would when creating a complete questionnaire:

Here, you simply need to choose which ´Question archive´ you wish to add the question to, if you have created more than one archive.
