Create new questions

First, go to the tab 'Selection survey questions' in the project menu to create selection questions for your recruitment project. This feature enables you to ask the candidates project specific questions in the application form. Their answers can help you to see if they meet the requirements for the job position:

Alternative question

To create your own questions, click on “create new question” and select question type:

An alternative question will give the candidates predefined alternatives to choose from, when they answer the question. Write the question here:

Write the option here:

Click 'Add new option' to add more alternatives:

You can change how the alternatives should be displayed to the candidates in this list:

You can select between one or multiple choice. Here you can select if the alternatives should generate points, you do this by filling out the value:

The points can be viewed in the candidate list and give you a quick overview of the candidates’ scores. Check mark if the question should be visible and mandatory for internal and external candidates:

Before saving, you can see a preview of your question here and view what it will look like in the application form:

Free text question 

If you would like for the candidates to write their answer in their own words, you can use a free text question. Click on 'Create new question' and select 'Freetext question' to start:

Fill out your question here:

Check mark if the question should be visible and mandatory for internal and external candidates. In this field, you can see a preview of the question. When you are finished, click ‘save’:

Scaled statements

A scaled statement can be used if you would like for the candidates to rate their competencies, experiences or knowledge in different areas. Click on 'Create new question' and select 'Scaled statements' to start:

Write the question here:


and define the scale by entering the minimum level here:


and the maximum level on the scale here:

This is where you define the option that the candidates should rate their knowledge in:

To add more options, click on 'Add new option':

You can select if the alternatives should generate points by entering values here:


The points can be viewed in the candidate list and give you a quick overview of the candidates’ scores. Check mark if the question should be visible and mandatory for internal and external candidates.

In this field, you can see a preview of the question:

When you are finished, press ‘Save’. 


Edit questions

When you have created all your questions, you can change the order via ‘drag and drop’:

Here you can edit or delete a question:

Click on 'Show detailed view' to get a preview of the questions and the alternatives:

When you are finished, you have the option to save the questions as a template, by clicking here to be able to reuse them in future projects:


Fill out name, description and check mark this box to make it available for everyone in your organization. When you are finished, press ‘Save’:

Create selection questions from a template

If your organization has created templates for selection questions, you can apply questions through a template instead of creating them yourself.

To apply questions from a template, select a template from this list, and click on 'Apply template':

After selecting, you can adjust the content if needed. You can edit, delete or add questions:

Common templates can be used by anyone in your company:


The templates in private templates are the ones you have created for yourself, and only you can access those:
