About Ontame

Ontame by Talentech is an analytics suite that provides recruiters with a complete overview of all sourcing and recruitment data enabling them to make smarter recruitment decisions. The purpose of the Ontame tag is to track the applicant's journey on the website - from first entry to application submission. To stitch the user journeys together, the script sets various cookies and collects basic information, such as browser fingerprint, IP address and referrer.

Technical implementation guide

In order to get the best implementation of Ontame you need to insert the Ontame javascript tracking code on all your pages where a candidate may enter or come by. The script can be inserted anywhere in the HTML documents, but we recommend inserting it in the document header.

You will receive your specific tracking script in a separate document.

Google Tag Manager

In order to run the Ontame script through Google Tag Manager you will need to add the script as custom HTML with the “DOM Ready” trigger

  1. In Triggers click “New” and choose “DOM Ready” as trigger type and name the trigger “DOM Ready” (keep “All DOM Ready Events” unless you want to tracking restrict to specific pages).
  2. In Tags click “New”. In Tag Configuration select “Custom HTML” and paste tracking code in. You will receive your specific tracking script in a separate document.
  3. In Triggering select the trigger you created in step 1. It should look like the image below when ready.
  4. Save new tag
  5. Publish the updated container by going to Overview, click “Submit” (top right), click “Publish”.

Example of how the Ontame tag will look in Google Tag Manager. Make sure to use the tracking script you have received in a separate document.
