Department Hierarchy

In ’Department hierarchy’’ you can create, rename, move and delete departments.  

Often, a department has already been created for unsolicited applications. This is because the confirmation email that the candidates receive for unsolicited applications may look different than the confirmation sent to candidates applying for a vacancy.

You can delete this department If you do not wish to receive unsolicited applications:

To create a new department, right-click on the department you want the new department to be located under, and then click ‘Add New Sub Department’. Now fill out the name for the new department:

You can also choose to add an internal name to the new department. If you do so, this will be the name shown in the department structure in the system, whereas the department name will be used on candidate pages, for example on your job list or in your advertisement:


Click on the “save”-button and you will see the new department in the department structure:



It is also possible to move the different departments up and down. Right-click on the department you wish to move. You can then choose whether to move the department up or down in the ‘department hierarchy’:



You can also rename a department or add a new sibling department to the already created department:


You can delete a department by right-clicking on the department and then clicking on 'Delete department':
